After being born and living her entire life in the Detroit area, Julie has recently moved across the country with her family to start a new life in Phoenix, Arizona. Julie married her husband of 16 years and began building a family through traditional means, fostering and adoption. Now, they are raising five beautiful children together. She has dedicated much time to caring for children with disabilities both in her home and in the school district where she is an aid to teachers in the classroom. While Julie still adores working with these children, her focus is shifting to the growth of her home business which allows more time for her own family and the high medical needs of her youngest son.
Julie is often described as being consumed by wanderlust or the desire to travel and explore the world. During their early days as a couple, Julie and her husband enjoyed extensive travel including a beautiful Alaskan cruise. Along with fostering and growth in the number of children in her family, there came a change in the accommodations. While still enjoying the wonderful resorts available and a now upcoming anticipated Disney Cruise Line, Julie and her family fell in love with the world of camping and especially the amazing Fort Wilderness.
When Julie and her family are not out adventuring, she can be found “playing in the kitchen” as she whips up delicious desserts and experiments with various ethnic cuisines. In addition, she likes taking part in her church community and escorting her children to various activities. Julie always makes time for a good book and a lighthearted cookout around the pool.
What is one guilty pleasure that you have to indulge in each time you visit Walt Disney World?
I enjoy my Dole Whip with rum in Animal Kingdom while watching the Tam Tam Drummers.
Who is your favorite Disney character?
Eeyore. He never takes himself too seriously, always appreciates the little things in life, and has mastered the art of sarcasm.
Do you consider yourself a Pixie or a Pirate?
I am a Pirate with Pigtails! Outdoorsy and low maintenance with a side of princess sass.
If you had to choose one Disney destination to visit this year, which would it be – Disneyland, Disney World, or a Disney Cruise?
I am actually planning all three this year. However, if I had to pick, it would be our Disney Cruise. So much culture mixed into the magic!
If you could visit an empty Disney park, all alone, which would it be and what would you do?
Even though Animal Kingdom is my favorite park, it would be too creepy alone. Definitely Epcot - all the amazing cuisine, cocktails and culture to be immersed. Plus Soarin’ is my favorite ride.
What's the one thing that you have to take home from your Disney trip?
A Disney themed coffee cup! Everyone needs some magic in the morning.
FAQs about my services:
Why are your services free?
Pixie and Pirate Destinations, nor myself, ever charges our clients anything for our services. I am paid commission from the companies I book vacations with - Disney, Universal Vacations, Norwegian Cruise Lines, etc. You will pay the same amount of money booking a trip with me as you would if you booked it directly through the company itself. And sometimes I am able to find a better deal because of the special promotions that are available. A reservation transfer may be an option if you have already booked a vacation.
As a Dream Vacation Planner (DVP) I work strictly off of commission and I hope that if you decide to book a vacation you will choose to book your vacation with me. Please keep this in mind if I do a lot of research on a vacation for you. Regardless of the number of hours I put toward helping a client plan, I am not paid hourly,
Why should I book my vacation with you and Pixie and Pirate Destinations?

What is the first step?
The first step in the vacation planning process is to request a quote for your desired Disney destination. When you request a quote you have the option of choosing me as you DVP - so please be sure to click on my name or add it into the comments. Once I have your quote request I will listen to your needs and expectations, and guide you through the best options for your family.
How do I pay for my vacation?
To process deposits and payments for your vacation I will need your address, phone number and credit card information. I can either schedule a phone call for you to give this information over the phone, or you can use our
secure website to submit for a payment.
Pixie and Pirate Destinations, nor myself, will EVER personally make a charge to your credit card. You will see a charge from the Walt Disney Travel Company (or another travel vendor such as Universal Travel, Norwegian Cruise Lines, etc.). I use your card information to process your deposit or payment directly through the travel vendor (Disney, etc.). And your CC information will always be kept private. If you ever see a charge that you think is fraudulent contact your credit card company immediately.
What will you do for me that I cannot do for myself?
Of course you can book a Disney vacation on your own - that's easy! But when you book a Disney vacation with me you have my knowledge and experience to tap into at your disposal. You will be working with someone who "knows" Disney and understands how Disney travel can change minute to minute. Because of this you can be assured that I will be able to guide you in the right direction at all times. If I do not know the answer immediately, I WILL find it out. In addition, you can count on the following "extras" from me:
All of the above services are FREE to my clients that book a Disney reservation with Pixie and Pirate Destinations. Some of my clients prefer to take advantage of ALL of these services.
