_We last left Lisa R in part 1 of her "Alone on the Disney Dream"
ready to explore the pool deck. She's back for part 2 and has great
information and pictures to share.

I then headed up to the pool deck to explore this area. There are currently 3 pools on the Disney Dream and the Water Splash Area known as Nemo's Reef.
I then headed up to the pool deck to explore this area. There are currently 3 pools on the Disney Dream and the Water Splash Area known as Nemo's Reef.
_Lets start with Nemo's Reef. This area is designed in mind for
toddlers who are not yet potty trained, but is open to all children aged
8 and younger. Nemo's Roof is located on Deck 11 next to the Mickey
Pool and Slide. This area is 1,500 sq. feet of pure splashy fun! It
is shaded to protect little ones from the sun. There is a mini water
slide shaped like Mr. Ray. A Water Curtain and lots of mist!

The Mickey Pool is the place to be for children on the Disney Dream. The shape of the Mickey Pool resembles the beloved Disney character and an over sized version of Mickey’s hand supports a yellow winding slide that will splash down near the pool. Children do need to be potty trained to enjoy the Mickey Pool and Slide. |
_
Right next to the Mickey pool is the family pool is Donald's Pool. This pool is 5 feet deep and meant for family use. Both children and parents can enjoy splashing in the fresh water of this pool together. Above Donald’s Pool, the giant Funnel Vision LED screen – more than 30 feet wide and 18 feet high – shows Disney movies and broadcasts events taking place on the decks. Both pools are covered with decks for the Pirates IN the Caribbean parties. The Donald's Pool area features a stage where many daytime deck activities and nighttime deck parties take place, including the Sail Away Celebration and the Pirates IN the Caribbean deck party. During these events, an automated floor slides out and seamlessly covers both Donald's Pool and Mickey's Pool, allowing Guests more deck space to enjoy the fun. Water wings and flotation sewn into bathing suits can be brought on board and are permitted in Donald's Pool. However, floats, rafts and fun noodles cannot be brought on board and are not permitted in the pools. The Aqua Duck is amazing and so much fun. It is a water coaster that features twists, turns, drops and uphill climbs, all while traveling on two-person raft above the top decks of the Disney Dream. The water coaster is 765 feet in long and is about the height of four decks. You must be 42 inches tall to ride and Disney is very strict when it comes to enforcing this. |
_On my way to the Adult Pool we passed the quick service eatery. It is themed after the Disney hit Cars. It's
actually comprised of several food stations, each with its own name:
Tow-Mater's Grill, Luigi's Pizza and Fillmore's Favorites. In addition,
there is an ice cream station called Eye Scream Treats, themed after
Mike Wazowski from Monsters, Inc., and a smoothie bar called Frozone
Treats.

Cove Cafe is a little quite, coffee shop on the Disney Dream. You can order a latte, or even something with a little spark in it. The Cove Cafe is a peaceful retreat for adults seeking a good cup of gourmet coffee and a place to read or use their WiFi device to surf the Internet. Just outside the doors are the Adult only pool, and the hot tub that is more like an infinity pool....seeing into the sea! |
_Operating times vary, so
once you're on board check the Personal Navigator—the Disney Cruise Line
daily newsletter detailing all there is to see and do—for the most
accurate times.
The Quiet Cove was my favorite spot on the Disney Dream. It is located Forward on the Disney Dream, Deck 11. |
_The Quiet Cove pool offers different depths including a 5 plunge
pool, in pool lounging benches and a 6 inch deep sunbathing pool. Right next to the pool is the Cove Bar. It is convenient and allows guests to get a drink with out ever leaving the pool.
There are also numerous lounge chairs and sofas for relaxing. |
|
_ The Senses Spa is right through the doors near the Quiet Cove on Deck 11. The 16,000 square foot facility contains a hair and nail salon, hot tubs, and sauna, as well as a variety of treatment rooms offering services such as massages, algae wraps and facials in addition to a state-of-the-art fitness center.
There is also a Spa just for teens. The Chill Spa. |
_In the Rainforest you can relax in the hot tubs or on the heated loungers.
