Disney's Art of Animation Resort
Where at the Walt Disney World Resort can you stroll through Radiator Springs, catch a wave with Nemo and have a Hakuna Matata kind of day? Disney's brand new Art of Animation Resort!
The resort opened in May 2012. It offers a new way for families to stay on Disney World property. The family suites feature separate living and sleeping areas. For families of 6 this is a great (and more economical) alternative to two separate rooms or a Deluxe Villa. The sleeping arrangements will include a queen size bed, a double "table" bed and a double sleeper sofa.
The themeing of the sections and rooms are based on some of your favorite Disney movies - The Lion King, Finding Nemo and Cars. A fourth section features rooms based on The Little Mermaid. The Little Mermaid section offers standard guest rooms that sleep up to 4.
Disney is also breaking records with this new Value Resort. The pool in the Finding Nemo section of the resort is almost 12,000 square feet - the largest resort pool at the Walt Disney World Resort!
The new resort is located near Pop Century, another Value Resort. It has bus transportation to all of the parks. There is also a gift shop and a food court area - making this resort very similar to the other Value Resorts and what they have to offer. The pricing is similar as well.
