What movie or book makes you cry every time?
Steel Magnolias What is the best party of waking up? Knowing that you have been blessed with another day to serve God and bless others around you. What is your biggest food weakness? Nutella If you could live anywhere, where would it be and why? Seaside, FL. The small town beach life where people still ride bicycles, plus I would be that much closer to WDW and Port Canaveral. Are you a morning or night person? Both. I love to get up early and read my Bible and work out before anyone ever gets up and know that I have the whole day before me. I also love the quiet of night when everyone else is asleep. It's so peaceful. What is your favorite thing to do on a Sunday afternoon? On Sundays, we go to church with the whole family, eat dinner at my mom and dad's with my whole family, then take a long Sunday afternoon nap. What is your favorite book? To Kill a Mockingbird Summer or winter? Definitely summer. The pool and the beach are two of my favorite things. What is your favorite TV show? The Andy Griffith Show Are you the oldest, middle, youngest or only child? Oldest of two

Kara was born and raised and continues to live in tiny Lynn, Alabama....population 750. Her husband, Todd, and her both graduated from the same high school (along with all of their families), and he is now the high school principal and she teaches history and English to high school juniors and seniors. She is also the senior sponsor. Their 2 children, Cale and Kohl, keep them extremely busy with baseball, softball, basketball, gymnastics, dance, etc. Todd coaches Little League baseball and basketball and Kara coaches Little League softball. They spend most of their time at the school or at a ball field of some sort, but they love every minute of it!
Kara's family loves to travel and spend time together. Their favorite destinations are the Gulf Coast of Alabama or Florida and, of course, Disney! Karas family's favorite trip was their first Disney cruise, followed by a stay in WDW. Kara's first trip to WDW was the summer after her senior year of high school with her (now) husband and friends from church. They fell in love with the magic of Disney then. They began traveling to WDW when their youngest child was 19 months old and have traveled there every year since. She's now 8 and this will be their 8th trip as a family this fall. Kara's family also loves to travel with their favorite football team, the Alabama Crimson Tide. Kara got to attend her first National Championship game in Miami, FL in 2013! Roll Tide!

Who is your favorite Disney character?
Cinderella...she is just so Disney! If you had to choose one Disney destination this year.......? A 7 day Eastern Caribbean Disney cruise. That is my dream right now. What is your favorite Disney special event? Definitely Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. It doesn't get more magical than cookies and hot chocolate and snow falling on Main Street. And the sweet smell of the floats in the parade, oh my! What is one guilty pleasure you have to indulge in each time you visit WDW? I actually have two. No trip is complete until I have a Nutella and fruit waffle from Sleepy Hollow Inn. Also, we always visit the Polynesian resort and have the pulled pork nachos from Captain Cook's on our departure day. What do you do when you first board a Disney cruise? Definitely lunch. That's one of the best parts of the cruise. If I could have a job at Walt Disney World, what would it be? I would be a fairy godmother at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to see all the happy little girls.

Why are your services free?
Pixie and Pirate Destinations, nor myself, ever charges our clients anything for our services. I am paid commission from the companies I book vacations with - Disney, Universal Vacations, Norwegian Cruise Lines, etc. You will pay the same amount of money booking a trip with me as you would if you booked it directly through the company itself. And sometimes I am able to find a better deal because of the special promotions that are available. A reservation transfer may be an option if you have already booked a vacation. As a Dream Vacation Planner (DVP) I work strictly off of commission and I hope that if you decide to book a vacation you will choose to book your vacation with me. Please keep this in mind if I do a lot of research on a vacation for you. Regardless of the number of hours I put toward helping a client plan, I am not paid hourly, Why should I book my vacation with you and Pixie and Pirate Destinations? I have an honest passion for Disney and the Disney destinations. And my Disney knowledge is up to date since this is my career. I have guidelines to follow that are put in place by Pixie and Pirate Destinations. I have been trained to provide you with the best customer service in the industry. And I am willing to work "with" you in planning your vacation. At Pixie and Pirate Destinations our motto is "go above and beyond for each client's individual needs." As a valued client, I will be here every step of the way to help you with your concerns or questions. You will have an email address and phone number where you can reach me when you need to. Once your vacation is booked I will continue to help with dining reservations, a personalized daily itinerary, an updated personal web page where you can track your reservation and more. I am here to see you through to the end of your vacation to make sure you have a magical time. What is the first step? The first step in the vacation planning process is to request a quote for your desired Disney destination. When you request a quote you have the option of choosing me as you DVP - so please be sure to click on my name or add it into the comments. Once I have your quote request I will listen to your needs and expectations, and guide you through the best options for your family. How do I pay for my vacation? To process deposits and payments for your vacation I will need your address, phone number and credit card information. I can either schedule a phone call for you to give this information over the phone, or you can use our secure website to submit for a payment. Pixie and Pirate Destinations, nor myself, will EVER personally make a charge to your credit card. You will see a charge from the Walt Disney Travel Company (or another travel vendor such as Universal Travel, Norwegian Cruise Lines, etc.). I use your card information to process your deposit or payment directly through the travel vendor (Disney, etc.). And your CC information will always be kept private. If you ever see a charge that you think is fraudulent contact your credit card company immediately. |
What will you do for me that I cannot do for myself?
Of course you can book a Disney vacation on your own - that's easy! But when you book a Disney vacation with me you have my knowledge and experience to tap into at your disposal. You will be working with someone who "knows" Disney and understands how Disney travel can change minute to minute. Because of this you can be assured that I will be able to guide you in the right direction at all times. If I do not know the answer immediately, I WILL find it out.
