Fun Facts About Me
Growing up, what was your dream job?
A nurse, and that is what I became! I even went to my 1st grade career day as a nurse! My mom used to tell me that as a toddler I would always take care of my great grandmother, who lived with us. I would put washcloths on her forehead, hold her hand and want to do everything for her. She seems to think it was in my blood to take care of people. Now I take care of kids on a pediatric unit. If you could live anywhere, where would it be and why? A beach town in South Carolina. After vacationing there I fell in love! The weather and homes are beautiful and the people were so friendly. I keep telling my husband that we need to move there when we retire. What's your favorite color? Purple What is your biggest food weakness? Grilled zucchini! I really dislike the mushy texture in the middle and then the skin on the outside. If you make it into a bread, though, I will eat it like that! Summer or winter? Summer! I love having all the kids off from school and that amusement parks, pools and beaches are open. I also would prefer to be hot than cold, and I really don't like shoveling snow during my NY winters! Are you the oldest, youngest, middle or only child? The youngest. And my older sister will tell you I was the spoiled one because of this! The best part of waking up is? Having a cup of coffee? I mean I don't really think there is any fun part about waking up, unless I'm on vacation! What movie or book makes you cry every time, no matter how many times you watch/read it? P.S. I Love You. Oh, Gerard Butler and Hilary Swank, your characters in this movie are tear jerkers. I will sometimes go years without seeing it, then it will be randomly on TV and I am instantly doing my ugly cry! What is one thing that you wish you would be great at (but you’re not…)? Singing. I get made fun of all the time by my oldest son and husband when I sing in the car or anywhere I decide to belt out a tune. It doesn't stop me from doing it though! What is your favorite TV show of all time - you've seen them all, can watch it over and over again and quote lines from it? Saved by the Bell. Come on, you know you love it too! |
Lori was born and raised in Westchester, New York and is now living a little over an hour north of New York City in New Windsor, NY. She met her husband in college and they now have three, beautiful children together, two boys and a girl. She enjoys being a mom and loves cooking and keeping her house organized. She likes being active in her kids' schools and watching them play sports.
Lori works outside the home, per diem, as a pediatric Nurse. When she was 9 years old she was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes and even though she had a passion to be a nurse prior to this, her experiences in the hospital really sealed the deal in wanting a career in nursing. She also now teaches nursing students, as an adjunct pediatric clinical professor at her alma mater, Mount Saint Mary College. Lori has always been a Disney lover and has now passed on this love to her husband and children. They visit Walt Disney World at least once a year. Their favorite family memories are ones they have made while vacationing here, and Lori is excited to help you make wonderful memories with your family! Disney Q&A
If you could have a job at Disney World what would you do?
Be the Tinkerbell that flies from Cinderella's Castle in Wishes! Every time I see her light up and wave her wand coming down from the top of the castle before the show it makes me so happy and I get excited for the fireworks to come. I would love to be the one to make others feel the same way! If you could visit an empty Disney park, all alone, which would it be and what would you do? Magic Kingdom. I would love to ride all the rides over and over again, walk down Main Street without the crowds, take pictures by myself in front of the castle and when I got tired I would go to Cinderella's Royal Suite! If you could resurrect one retired Walt Disney World attraction, character, show, event, etc., what would it be? The Animation Academy at Hollywood Studios. This was something my oldest son and I would do every trip together. We loved learning to draw Disney characters then comparing our final products! This was retired recently to make room for Star Wars Land; it will definitely be missed buy the two of us and many others I'm sure! If you could be a character in a Disney movie or TV show, who would you be? Belle. She was my favorite Disney princess growing up, and still is! How old were you when you first visited Walt Disney World? 9 years old and that is when I fell in love! I couldn't wait to go back but had to wait 10 years before I took my second trip there. Now I go at least once a year! What is your favorite Disney attraction or show? Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom. I love when the Yeti scares you towards the end and when you get to the end of the track and it starts going backwards. |

Why are your services free?
Pixie and Pirate Destinations, nor myself, ever charges our clients anything for our services. I am paid commission from the companies I book vacations with - Disney, Universal Vacations, Norwegian Cruise Lines, etc. You will pay the same amount of money booking a trip with me as you would if you booked it directly through the company itself.
