What is the best part of waking up?
There’s a good part of getting out bed? What is your biggest food weakness? Chocolate - Anything that has chocolate or is covered with chocolate. Growing up, what was your dream job? In 6th grade my class saw an educational program about whales and studying them in the wild, The Voyage of the Mimi. From that point on I learned as much as I could about marine mammals (whales and seals/sea lions in particular). In college I studied biology with a concentration in marine science. My father once told me that he had never met someone that knew what they wanted to do at such a young age that stuck with it. What’s your favorite thing to do on a Sunday afternoon? Take a nap. Actually a nap is great any day of the week. What’s your favorite book? The Mist of Avalon with the Outlander Series a very close second. What animal would you want to be and why? One of my cats. Did I mention that I love naps? The biggest draw back would be the whole licking yourself thing, but maybe with such a small brain you don’t realize it’s gross. What’s your favorite color? Purple - I love a deep rich purple color. If I could live anywhere, where would it be and why? Somewhere in France. I have always been fascinated with this country and it’s history. Summer or winter? Actually I love Fall! The cool crisp days. Going to the pumpkin patch, getting ready for Halloween, I love it all. Where were you born? San Diego, CA

Sarah grew up a Navy Brat (which meant she went to a different school every year from 5th grade through 10th grade). Her family eventually settled in Virginia, where she met her husband while working at a local amusement park (the park will remain nameless because it is not even close to being on the same level as a Disney park). They eventually married and moved to Maryland, where Sarah started her dream job as a dolphin trainer at the National Aquarium in Baltimore (there is nothing like being up to your elbows in cold, raw fish at the crack of dawn, ahhh).
She left her job as a trainer, to become a new mom to identical twin girls (yes, she can tell them apart and no, they do not feel it when the other one gets hurt). A few years later they welcomed a set of boy/girl twins (yes, that’s right she has 2 sets of twins and no, the second set is not identical, they are fraternal). After the second set was born they moved back to Virginia. The nice thing about having a family of 6 is that everyone has a buddy to fight with, play with, and ride roller coasters. Sarah joined Pixie and Pirate Destinations when it first became an agency. It has been one of the best decisions that she's made. It allows her to do all the things she needs to do for her family (as you can imagine, a mother of 2 sets of twins has a lot of running around to do), but it also allows her to share with people her passion for all things Disney. Sarah has been very blessed in life to be able to work at 2 dream jobs!

What is your favorite Disney attraction?
My favorite attraction is the Haunted Mansion. I remember being so excited when I was old enough to ride this ride, but also a little scared. My Dad and Grandpa said they would protect me and put me in middle so none of the ghost could get me. If you have ridden this ride you know what happens at the end to the rider in the middle, I thought it was amazing! Who is your favorite Disney character? My Favorite Disney Character is Aurora/Sleeping Beauty. Which Disney Cruise ship is your favorite? I love the Wonder because it has more of an intimate feel to it. If you could have a job at Disney World what would you do? I would work in The Seas with the dolphins. To be able to do something that I loved in a place that I love would be amazing. Plus I know that they have a really awesome program. If you could resurrect one retired Walt Disney World attraction, character, show, event, etc., what would it be? I would resurrect the old Journey into Imagination, that ride just isn’t the same since they changed it. Plus I loved playing in the imagination playground when I was a kid. What’s the one thing that you have to take home from your Disney trip? I always take home the same photo album and big picture frame. I have the same album and picture frame from the last 5 visits. I love that all of my Disney photo albums match. |

Why are your services free?
Pixie and Pirate Destinations, nor myself, ever charges our clients anything for our services. I am paid commission from the companies I book vacations with - Disney, Universal Vacations, Norwegian Cruise Lines, etc. You will pay the same amount of money booking a trip with me as you would if you booked it directly through the company itself. And sometimes I am able to find a better deal because of the special promotions that are available. A reservation transfer may be an option if you have already booked a vacation. As a Dream Vacation Planner (DVP) I work strictly off of commission and I hope that if you decide to book a vacation you will choose to book your vacation with me. Please keep this in mind if I do a lot of research on a vacation for you. Regardless of the number of hours I put toward helping a client plan, I am not paid hourly, Why should I book my vacation with you and Pixie and Pirate Destinations? I have an honest passion for Disney and the Disney destinations. And my Disney knowledge is up to date since this is my career. I have guidelines to follow that are put in place by Pixie and Pirate Destinations. I have been trained to provide you with the best customer service in the industry. And I am willing to work "with" you in planning your vacation. At Pixie and Pirate Destinations our motto is "go above and beyond for each client's individual needs." As a valued client, I will be here every step of the way to help you with your concerns or questions. You will have an email address and phone number where you can reach me when you need to. Once your vacation is booked I will continue to help with dining reservations, a personalized daily itinerary, an updated personal web page where you can track your reservation and more. I am here to see you through to the end of your vacation to make sure you have a magical time. What is the first step? The first step in the vacation planning process is to request a quote for your desired Disney destination. When you request a quote you have the option of choosing me as you DVP - so please be sure to click on my name or add it into the comments. Once I have your quote request I will listen to your needs and expectations, and guide you through the best options for your family. How do I pay for my vacation? To process deposits and payments for your vacation I will need your address, phone number and credit card information. I can either schedule a phone call for you to give this information over the phone, or you can use our secure website to submit for a payment. Pixie and Pirate Destinations, nor myself, will EVER personally make a charge to your credit card. You will see a charge from the Walt Disney Travel Company (or another travel vendor such as Universal Travel, Norwegian Cruise Lines, etc.). I use your card information to process your deposit or payment directly through the travel vendor (Disney, etc.). And your CC information will always be kept private. If you ever see a charge that you think is fraudulent contact your credit card company immediately. |
What will you do for me that I cannot do for myself?
Of course you can book a Disney vacation on your own - that's easy! But when you book a Disney vacation with me you have my knowledge and experience to tap into at your disposal. You will be working with someone who "knows" Disney and understands how Disney travel can change minute to minute. Because of this you can be assured that I will be able to guide you in the right direction at all times. If I do not know the answer immediately, I WILL find it out.
