Client's Code Name - BMALMS When was your Disney vacation? January 2012 |
How far in advance did you start planning for your trip? What was the planning process like - stressful, simple, overwhelming? In what way did your DVP assist you with the planning stage?
We started in November with help from Amanda. Our planning process was great! She asked a few, simple questions and set up the whole week for us: from which restaurants to eat in, dining reservations, and room accommodations. She also gave our family great, helpful tips, including advice about things to do in the parks. Without her help, we’re not sure the vacation would have created a memory like the one we have now.
How did you tell your family about the trip? Was it a surprise?
We gave our son the trip for Christmas from Santa!
Which Disney Resort/Ship did you stay at? What did you think of the resort/ship?
We stayed in the Polynesian Resort. I thought it was perfect! We loved the theme, the white sand beaches, the awesome pool and the great staff. Now that we have been there, we would love to have a couple of days to really enjoy the resort and the amenities it has to offer. We loved the fact we could catch a boat from the dock straight to Magic Kingdom. We wouldn't have changed a thing.
What are your family's favorite Disney characters? Did you have interactions with them while on vacation?
Our favorites were Goofy, Minnie Mouse, and Piglet – we got to meet over 30 characters during our visit!
What restaurants did you dine at?
Coral Reef
Chef Mickey
Paradiso (Downtown Disney)
Cinderella Castle
Crystal Palace
What was your family's favorite ride or attraction? And why?
I’m old school, so Space Mountain is still my favorite. My 5 year-old and wife loved Hollywood Studios’ Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, too.
What was the greatest advantage of booking your vacation with your personal DVP? Please be sure to list their name if you'd like.
Amanda had everything organized and planned every detail out for us so we only had to worry about having a good time. Amanda took care of everything for us, from A to Z – she has definitely earned a client for life. We will call her again when our little girl is ready to go to Walt Disney World.
Share one moment during your vacation that will always be a favorite memory.
Every night, the three of us would get a great seat in front of the castle for “the Magic, the Memories and You!” show as well as Wishes, the fireworks show. The music and lighting was spectacular, and on the last night of our vacation, my son’s picture made it onto the castle during the Magic, the Memories and You. It’s just amazing how good you feel there and we can’t wait to go back.
Also, riding Space Mountain with my son was a great feeling. It was something I enjoyed as a child, and to be able to do that with him and see the joy on his face was priceless.
If you had a funny moment during your trip where you could not stopping laughing, please share.
One of the funniest moments during our trip was Epcot’s Turtle Talk with Crush. My son is still doing the “give me fin and shell!” from the show. That was a great event.
What was one thing that really surprised you during your vacation? Maybe a ride that your family loved that you thought you wouldn't, or something special a Cast Member said or did.
The thing that surprised me the most was how awesome the staff was at all the parks and resorts. All of the cast members were outgoing and had a smile. It really made the trip great.
Did you or anyone in your family have 'tears of joy' during your trip? Share the details.
Did you go through Disney withdrawals when you returned home? What was the best remedy?
My son is ready to move into the castle.
Have you started planning your next Disney vacation? What will you do differently next time?
Not yet, we’re waiting for our little girl to go back.
