A September to remember

Client's Code Name - mathchic7 When was your Disney vacation? September 2011 |
How far in advance did you start planning for your trip? What was the planning process like - stressful, simple, overwhelming? In what way did your DVP assist you with the planning stage?
We started planning in July 2011. I wish I had started with PAPD, then we may have made better choices.
How did you tell your family about the trip? Was it a surprise?
It was not a surprise it was more spur of the moment.
Which Disney Resort did you stay at? What did you think of the resort?
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort - The resort was beautiful, with a great pool, play area, and nice quick service options. We would have preferred having queen sized beds instead of double and the resort was very large with multiple bus stops. I doubt that we would stay here again, while nice, we would prefer to be closer to MK.
What are your family's favorite Disney characters? Did you have interactions with them while on vacation?
My daughter loves the princesses and the fairies. We met the princesses and their princes at the Halloween party and the princesses again at breakfast in Epcot and the fairies later in the week.
What restaurants did you dine at?
50's Prime Time Café (Amanda helped and it was wonderful)
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (we picked and Chloe loved this)
Chef Mickey's (we picked and had tons of fun)
Hollywood & Vine (Made with the concierge we did the lunch with Playhouse disney...fun)
Nine Dragons Restaurant (called and reserved that afternoon; very good food and service)
Via Napoli (walk in; great pizza and service)
We would eat at any one of these again!
What was your family's favorite ride or attraction? And why?
Chloe loved Snow White's Scary Adventure - we have no idea why:) We loved Toy Story Mania....fun for all age groups.
What was the greatest advantage of booking your vacation with your personal DVP? Please be sure to list their name if you'd like.
Amanda answered questions we had and helped plan our days. I only wish we had talked to her before the original booking.
Share one moment during your vacation that will always be a favorite memory.
Chloe's excitement meeting Rapunzel when she seemed so happy that we were dressed as crayons.
If you had a funny moment during your trip where you could not stopping laughing, please share.
The three of us were dressed as crayons, and we had numerous requests for photos we were surprised and amused that anyone would want our photo.
I let Chloe buy a flashing balloon on the first night...my husband said that it was silly, but we used that balloon every evening and could always find our stroller even after the cast members organized them. He had to admit that it was the best purchase of the week!
What was one thing that really surprised you during your vacation?
Rapunzel was wonderful - she was straight out of the movie and acted so excited that we were crayons. Vidia was another of our favorites, she even had the scowl. We also had some wonderful bus drivers and waiters during the week.
Did you or anyone in your family have 'tears of joy' during your trip? Share the details.
Unfortunately no tears of joy, but with a three year old happily there were also no other tears either.
Did you go through Disney withdrawals when you returned home? What was the best remedy?
Planning our next trip!
Have you started planning your next Disney vacation? What will you do differently next time?
We are looking forward to our next trip. 1st we will start with Amanda! We would like to stay in a monorail resort next time and we will more than likely make reservations for all of our table service meals upfront.
