What Would a Pixie or Pirate Do?
My family is planning a trip in the fall of next year. I have 2 girls (5 and 8) and we are trying to decide between the All Star Movies and the All Star Music Resort. Which one would you pick?

Fall is a great time to travel to Walt Disney World® Resort. Low crowds and great weather. Both resorts are nice, but my family and I prefer the All Star Movies Resort. All Star Movies is the most broadly kid appealing, and the most comfortable of the three All Star Resorts in my opinion. This appeal comes from the approach to theming they all share: bright and vibrant exteriors, framing much larger than life objects of interest to kids. These objects reinforce that these resorts were designed for the sake of kids…and not necessarily for adults! It also has the best themed pool - it features Mickey Mouse as the star! If you have any other questions about the resort we would love to answer them for you!

Congrats on your upcoming Disney vacation! You have chosen a wonderful time of year to travel to Walt Disney World! If I had to choose between All Star Movies and All Star Music, I would choose All Star Movies. We have stayed there twice and loved it! The theming is amazing....all the larger than life characters and props. It's like you're walking through a Disney movie! We're not really into music, so we chose All Star Movies because we thought we would like the theme and decor more. But if your family is into music you might like what they have to offer there as well. I must admit, there were times when we were on the bus that I wished we were staying at All Star Music because they seemed to be the first ones on and off the buses to and from the parks. Both of these resorts are great - fun, bright and cheery. My family has stayed at both and we prefer All Star Movies. However, if you are considering a larger room for your family then All Star Music is your best option at a Value Resort. The Family Suites offer a separate sleeping area, and with two young children this may come in handy. While my vote is for Movies, don't fully discount Music - it's still lots of fun with Disney characters like the Three Caballeros and a great piano pool!

I have actually stayed at both of these resorts in the past - perfect for kids!! I would choose the All Star Movies, just because your girls are probably already familiar with lots of the Disney movies and they will be in for such a treat when they see it! I also have 2 little girls & it was a 'hit' with them too. I think one of the best things about the All Stars Resorts is the bright & bold theming! From the lobby at check-in, to the grounds, to the pools, you are surrounded with the Disney movies theme all around. My little girl is a 'Toy Story' fanatic and really loved seeing the little, green Army men on top of the buildings..so cool!
